Greenbuild Chicago

Attending Greenbuild Chicago this November? Get ready to become WELL educated.

Human sustainability has been coined as the second wave of sustainability. Underlying this movement is an understanding that humanity’s fate is tied irrevocably to the impact our buildings have on the environment and humans themselves.

Join us at the lounge on the expo floor, Booth 251, to learn more about WELL and healthy buildings. Attend one of our mini-education sessions in the lounge or connect with a WELL project support specialist. If you’re after a deeper dive into WELL, look no further than our Lunch & Learn sessions in the Human Health and Wellness Applied Learning Area.

Wednesday, Nov. 14

Telling the WELL Story

10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Booth 251

Having recently passed the one thousand WELL projects milestone, our first education session in the lounge will be topical and reinforces that WELL is fundamentally about people. Join us for Telling the WELL Story. This 30-minute presentation will showcase the dynamic nature of WELL by bridging the business case for WELL with project stories to build a pitch for ‘why WELL now?’ You’ll hear from experts and learn practical tips for sharing your own WELL story.

Global Adoption of WELL

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Applied Learning area

Swing by the Applied Learning area to hear IWBI experts discuss the Global Adoption of WELL. This 60-minute session will explore the global and localization of WELL by highlighting key drivers, metrics and adoption trends in regional markets, focusing specifically on Asia, Australia, North America, and Europe. Additionally, we’ll spotlight local WELL projects, including the recently WELL Certified Hyatt Headquarters.

Don’t forget to circle back to booth 251 at 5:00 p.m. for Happy Hour in the Hall. We’ll provide organic beverages from a local Chicago supplier, you’ll bring the conversation -- or perhaps your newly polished WELL story.

Thursday, November 15th

Going Beyond the Charette

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Applied Learning area

Back in the Applied Learning area, we’ll be Going Beyond the Charette to learn how to engage key stakeholders, including occupants, in ongoing discussion and collaboration. During this 60-minute session, a panel of experts will discuss different phases of the integrative design approach, addressing challenges, benefits and successful outcomes.

Introducing the WELL v2TM pilot

1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Booth 251

Finally, don’t miss our interactive journey through the next version of WELL. We’ll be Introducing the WELL v2TM pilot by sharing our own experiences with WELL v2 and highlighting the challenges and triumphs of constructing the IWBI New York City Headquarters in an existing space. As one of the first WELL v2 registered projects, we’ll showcase firsthand how WELL is more flexible and inclusive. Additionally, we’ll share stories of other projects that have made the transition from WELL v1 to WELL v2.

Whether you’re a green building consultant, an interior designer or engineer, a WELL AP or just want to learn more about human sustainability, join us at booth 251 and get ready to become WELL educated.
