Last week our team arrived in Sao Paulo, Brazil for the annual Greenbuilding conference. With over 1,200 LEED projects in Latin America today, it was inspiring to see the many ways in which the region has embraced sustainable building and a commitment to both the planet and the people we care about.
IWBI CEO Rick Fedrizzi addressed global leaders at the conference, highlighting the many ways in which investing in healthy building is not only good for people, but also good for the economy. By implementing WELL features that help prevent many of the health challenges that contribute to our need to seek healthcare in the first place, countries could amass tremendous cost savings.
With Serti HQ leading the charge as the first WELL Certified project in Brazil, the healthy building movement is beginning to gain traction across the region. We look forward to seeing this continued advancement towards a healthier future!
