Xuan Shi is a Senior Director of Business Development at IWBI Asia. International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI) is a public benefit corporation with a mission to improve human health and well-being through the built environment. IWBI administers the WELL Building Standard® (WELL), the world’s first building standard focused exclusively on human health and wellness. The WELL building certification program is an evidence-based system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring the performance of building features and other aspects of the built environments that impact the health and well-being of the people in the spaces we create.

Xuan is a passionate WELL professional with an architect background. She is based in Beijing. Xuan Joined IWBI (Asia) team with extensive experience ranging from architectural design, project management to R&D in building standards and WELL training. Xuan brings her professional and management skills to the team and excels in strategic partnership, business management of Asia market, building standard operations and projects management.

Prior to IWBI (Asia), Xuan played a pivotal role as a member of a key team leading Sino-Ocean Group’s efforts to adopt the WELL Building Standard in its pipeline projects across China through a ground-breaking partnership with International WELL Building Institute. Xuan was in charge of a WELL training program for Sino-Ocean’s project teams, sales force and executive positioning. She led the cross-projects coordination among 13 WELL registered projects pursing WELL Certification. Xuan was also a leader in an extensive research leading to a white paper on alternative adherence paths for WELL Building Standard adoption by projects in China.

Xuan received a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Peking University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
