The WELL Portfolio process

  • PHASE 1

    Enroll in WELL Portfolio

Your WELL Portfolio enrollment includes an initial scorecard of health-based strategies to consider for your company, as well as dedicated coaching support to help you assess your portfolio on health and well-being metrics.

  • PHASE 2

    Assess your portfolio

Using WELL’s assessment tools, identify how your portfolio is performing across more than 100 health and well-being solutions in 10 concept areas, and develop a strategy for recognition and improvement within your portfolio’s properties.

  • PHASE 3

    Achieve WELL Portfolio points

Submit documentation and testing results* annually to demonstrate compliance with WELL’s evidence-based health and well-being solutions, gaining WELL Portfolio points and if desired, WELL-certifying any projects in the portfolio. The number of points you choose to target each year, which result in your WELL Portfolio score, is up to you. WELL’s evidence-based system and independent review ensure that your company’s health and well-being results reflect accountability and performance.

*Submissions for review require an active subscription in WELL Portfolio.

  • PHASE 4

    Track results and celebrate achievement

Your WELL Portfolio dashboard tracks your company’s progress over time on health and well-being metrics, which can include WELL Portfolio points by concept, occupant survey results, performance testing data, and other inputs. As you reach milestones - whether it’s a certain number of points in the WELL Air or Nourishment concept, or wellness solutions implemented across the entire portfolio - celebrate your achievements! In addition to ongoing opportunities for recognition, IWBI will also annually publish aggregate WELL Portfolio scores and percentile rankings for public participants, as well as provide awards to leaders across health and well-being categories.

  • PHASE 5

    Benchmark and report

Compare your properties to each other - and to peer groups across the world - on health and well-being metrics to inform business decisions and drive improvements. Use your WELL Portfolio Score and metrics – which can improve over time - to report your health and well-being accomplishments to investors, ESG and CSR rating systems, and employees.
